Candid Wedding Photographer in Mumbai & Goa

FAQs & PRICING

  • Where are you based? Are you open to travel for my wedding?

I’m based in Mumbai & Goa, India. As a photographer, I travel all over India. Being based in a major metropolis, I enjoy easy connectivity to all parts of South Asia.

    .

  • How many people are in your team? How many photographer’s can I expect at my wedding?

It’s really up to you. While I don’t believe in large teams with a dozen enthusiastic photographers in tow, as I feel that this really disrupts the privacy in a wedding. While I am estimating your wedding package, I will try and gauge how many guests you’re expecting – and recommend a photo team accordingly..

  • What equipments do you use?

I use whatever it takes to get you beautiful photos from your big day. I have a long list of equipment I shoot with, and this includes full-frame cameras, fast lenses, all forms of off-camera lighting,…all of which is updated and changed constantly.

  • Do you charge extra for out station assignments?

My assignment fees will remain the same – and will only cover the number of days I will actually be shooting. As a photographer, I realise that I need to be available to shoot where and when needed, and understand that there will be non-billable days in travel. But out-of-station assignments will have an extra travel and lodging charge’s associated, which will be at actuals. I, typically stay as a guest of the family. No fancy requirements, but a nice room, a clean loo with some privacy for midnight edits and back-ups!

  • How many wedding pictures do you typically provide per wedding?

I do not limit the number of images I shoot during a wedding. However the style of photography I practice, results in a number of rejected photos, poor lighting, distractions in the frame and so on. After a review, I reject around 50-60% of the Photos right away for one reason or the other. The rest of the photos are manually selected, colour corrected, edited to tell a story if needed and queued for final delivery. On average, I deliver between 500-600 images from a two day wedding, and between 700-800 images from a three day wedding. This will be more than sufficient for you to relive your wedding, frame by frame.

    .

  • What are your charges?

Please feel free to get in touch with me for this. I need to know the detailed timeline and scope of documentation for me to give you a personalised package for your wedding.

  • What are your payment terms?

50% of the fee as advances. This advance is non-refundable because when I commit the dates to you, I turn away other enquiries and lose potential business. Balance payment is expected during the course of the wedding.

  • Are your wedding packages negotiable?

I truly understand how expensive it is to get married. There are a million things you need to pay for, and some of them are more challenging than others. However, premium wedding photography also comes at a price – and I can’t even begin to justify the effort it takes to deliver quality photos like the ones you see on my website.

  • How long does it take to deliver our wedding photos?

I usually deliver the final set of developed images from your wedding between 6-7 weeks after your wedding dates.

  • Who owns the usage rights to my wedding images? What is a personal rights release, and who owns the copyright?

Along with the assignment, you own the full usage rights to your wedding photos for non-commercial use. That means you can do whatever you want with your wedding photos (like making more albums, taking prints, sending them out to relatives, sharing them online). The only thing you cannot do is resell your wedding images – which I am sure you will not want to do! As the photographer, I will own the ‘copyright’ to the photographs, which means I own the author rights to the photograph.

  • Will you be using the final wedding photos in your portfolio or on your social media channels?

If your wedding results in gorgeous wedding photos (and I am sure it will!), I would love to share those pictures on my personal portfolio website and social channels as examples of great work I’ve done, so that other couples may also be inspired from your wedding. It wont be all but a few handful selected images.
